CARIBBEAN STUD POKER
Caribbean Poker is played with a standard deck of 52 cards.
The object of the game is to be dealt a better five card poker hand than the dealer, or gamble that the dealer does not have a qualifying hand of at least an Ace and a King.
The game features a progressive jackpot game, which involves placing a separate side bet.
A game begins with each player placing an initial bet or Ante.
All players and the dealer are then dealt five cards face down. Before players can peek at their cards, the dealer exposes one of his five cards face up. After looking at their 5-card hands, players must decide, based on the their hand to either fold their hand or play .The player then makes a bet double of the ante
Tips and Hints:
The player, believing that the dealer's hand is superior, folds and loses the initial bet.
The player does not have a qualifying hand, but gambles that the dealer doesn't have one either and bets on a "bluff". The dealer's hand does not qualify and the player wins 1 to 1 on the initial bet. The bet is returned.
The player does not have a qualifying hand, but gambles that the dealer doesn't have one either and bets on a ‘bluff’. Unfortunately the dealer's hand does qualify, so all bets are lost.
The player' bets. The dealer's hand qualifies but is beaten by the player's hand. The player wins 1 to 1 on the initial bet and also wins on the second bet.
The player bets. Unfortunately, the dealer exposes a better hand and both bets are lost.
The player' bets. The dealer then turns over exactly the same hand (barring the suits). The result is a push, meaning that the bets are returned to the player.
An example of a push scenario would be if both the player and the dealer have two pair of Jacks and Tens with a Ace on the side.
JACKPOT BET
In addition to the ante (regular) bet you can also play a jackpot side bet that pays out separately. This bet is not associated with the outcome of the dealer's hand.
If you are dealt a hand that qualifies for the jackpot, it pays on top of any other winnings gained from the hand.
